Start here: where your website stands

The first step checks what your website already has.

Then you follow only the steps you still need, in order.

Most steps below have a full page you can read yourself.

  1. Start here: where your website stands

List what you already have, so you skip what's done.

  2. Define your brand and audience

Decide who your site is for, what they search for, and how your brand looks and sounds.

  3. Set up the right tech

Choose your tools and set the rules that keep your site fast and easy for search engines to read.

  4. Plan your pages

Write down every page you need, and make one template for each type.

  5. Build and check before launch

Build the pages, then check each one against a list before it goes live.

  6. Launch and get found

Connect your site to search engines, send them your sitemap (the list of your pages) and tell people you're live.

  7. Write your content process

Write the steps your AI follows to create new pages and update old ones.

  8. Reach more people

Bring in visitors with emails, press coverage, links from other sites and ads.

  9. Track and improve

See what works, decide what to publish next and update your old pages.

The old way vs the AI playbook

Here's how building a website with the playbook compares to the old way, with an agency or a freelancer.

Version history

  1. New step names, and one prompt that guides your AI through every step.

The step-by-step wizard and two new pages are in progress.

  2. We added version numbers, plus a note on who made the playbook and how you can use it.

  3. The first public release, with 9 chapters.

  4. The first version.

We used it on our own sites.

MojoSons Media made this playbook.

You're welcome to read it and use it to build your own sites.

Please don't copy it or use it commercially without telling us first.

The goal: launch a new brand and website in under 24 hours.

Every step below is templated. Nothing gets reinvented per project: you pick, fill, and check off. This wiki is the master SOP; each project tracks its own pass through it in PROGRESS.md at that project's repo root.

Rules of the playbook

  • One source of truth. A rule written twice is a bug: fix it once in the library, every project inherits.
  • Markdown in git, always. AI agents read it raw; humans read the rendered version.
  • This wiki is publishable (the visual version lives on mojosonsmedia.com). Anything private stays in your own library and is only referenced, never copied here.
  • These files never ship to a live server as raw .md. They live on GitHub; only the rendered public version is deployed, deliberately.

The agents

You do not run this playbook alone, and neither do we. The work splits between AI agents, one role each, one rulebook each:

  • The Designer: page structure, layout, components. Builds the skeletons from templates.
  • The Copywriter: every word on the page, in the voice the brand style guide defines.
  • The SEO: metas, schema, canonicals, internal links. Owns chapter 3 end to end.
  • The Translator: ports approved content into other languages without flattening it.
  • The Editor: checks every page against every rule BEFORE the owner sees it. Nothing ships until the count of violations is zero.

One agent per role, kept warm through the whole session so it stays consistent. Agents propose; the owner approves every word and every visual.
